Mark Garwin, MD, JD, DABA
Medical Director
Dr. Mark Garwin, MD, JD, DABA has over 30 years of clinical experience in the field of Anesthesia in both academic medicine and private practice. His residency training and fellowship was at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He is a former staff clinical instructor in Cardiovascular Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. In private practice Dr. Garwin has served as the chairman of the Department of Anesthesia for over 20 years at hospitals in both Texas and Southern Illinois. He believes in helping those most in need, especially those who have served their country. As an anesthesiologist, Dr. Garwin is most qualified to serve as chief medical officer at The Albany Clinic. The knowledge, skills, and medications used for Stellate Ganglion Block and IV Infusion Therapy are those employed daily by Dr. Garwin in the operating room setting.

Dr. Simeon Grater, a board-certified psychiatrist, has joined The Albany Clinic as a consultant. He brings vast expertise in the field of psychiatry to the benefit of both our clinic and our patients. Dr. Grater has treated patients in Southern Illinois for 30 years and is excited to join us in providing new and innovative treatments for those suffering from Treatment Resistant Depression, Anxiety, and PTSD.
